We’ve mentioned before at The Positive Change Project how we are all about sustainability. But what exactly does that mean? Well, it means several things. Beyond the most common uses of the term that generally have to do with farming or food (which we love!) we are more committed to running a sustainable giving program, hence the recurring donation levels on our donation page. While one time gifts are an incredible blessing, being able to count on even something as small as $3.65 per year is truly what will make or break us. This is because we are committed to providing basic resources to those in need in a sustainable way. Meaning, once we commit to something, we are in it for good.

Our support is based on a by project model, meaning that once we start a project, we don’t begin another until we are sure that the first is funded in a sustainable way. When we go in to create a positive change in any community, we want that change to remain positive. While a one time donation of food or water is a valuable offering, we believe in the longevity of our impact.

Thus, Sustainable Giving! Our minimum ask is truly something that anyone can do (a penny a day). But, because the support is recurring and sustainable, we believe that it will (and already has!) make a huge impact.

Can you give a penny a day?
